Aside from being beautiful, it plays magnificently and has a set of hand wound Texas Special single coil pickups that are so versatile, it's hard to imagine all these tones coming from one guitar!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe neck is made from a piece of Quarter sawn Maple and carved to a very comfortable 60 Style Oval C neck Profile. It's a little on the slim side, more like a Medium-Slim feel. It is topped with a AAA Rosewood Fingerboard that is cut to a 9.5\" radius and fretted with Jumbo 6100 fret wire. We have classic Fender nut width and scale length that give the guitar an immediately familiar feel. An Alder body helps gives the guitar a powerfully forward sounding guitar. Weighing in at 7 lbs 12 oz, this Strat is a little heavier than some of our other feather weights but is still extremely comfortable when on a strap due to being well balanced.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe pickups are a set of the famed Texas Special Single Coil pickups but these are handwound. These Texas Specials are nice and hot when your volume is on 10. Great for pushing a tube amp into drive or flat out gain, if the traditional Single Coil is a little too weak for you, you MUST hear a set of these handwound's!
